The 19:30 looks a poor affair with a real paucity of any worthwhile form. That's not to say there isn't a bet though, and Special Buddy at 2/1 should have enough to win this.

It looked as though he improved for the better going at Fontwell last time - easily a personal best for him following an inauspicious start to his career. Well, inauspicious is putting it kindly.

He was leading in the final stages only to be picked off by Shareef Star, a horse who had won his previous start over fences. That came from a mark of 79 and he's up just 2lbs and should go close with a similar sort of run here.

20:00 Warwick - Back Sartene's Son

Sartene's Son is a horse that stays well and is a fairly straightforward pick here.

Trained by Robert Bevis, he made the running over course and distance last time to finish second, it was good to see him bounce back following a lamentable run at Bangor. The front two were well clear of the third too in the good to soft conditions.

It took him a while to break his maiden tag which he achieved in January and he seems to suit sharp tracks.
