I am going to take a chance with Yes to Mischief in this competitive Maiden Special Weight on the inner turf course.

This well related daughter of Into Mischief finished fourth in a race taken off the turf at Saratoga. She held every chance at the entrance to the straight, but failed to get home and weakened out of contention. She will benefit from the return to six furlongs and her pedigree suggests she will be more effective on turf. Her work tab is solid, and trainer Mark Casse has already had a winner at the meeting. I recommend backing her at BSP as she should be a decent price.

French Reef the big improver

French Reef should go close in this allowance race on the Widener turf course.

This gelding was most impressive when beating Modesto in a competitive Maiden Special Weight at Saratoga in July. He was taken on for the lead in the early stages but found another gear in the straight to win going away. There was a lot to like about this effort and clearly has a lot more to offer. Trainer Chad Brown has exercised a great deal of patience with him. This was only his second career start and significant improvement is expected. Anything around his Morning Line price of 2.89/5 will do.
