I like the look of Channel Maker in this fascinating Grade 1 run over a mile and a half on the Widener turf course.

This admirable gelding won the Grade 1 Sword Dancer at Saratoga in August. He made all the running and found plenty in the straight to win going away. This was his best effort of the year, and the change in tactics paid off.

This colt finished a close second to Win Win Win in the Grade 1 Forego at Saratoga in August. He looked the likely winner inside the final furlong but was caught close home. The winner came from another parish in the driving rain and lost nothing in defeat.

Trainer Chad Brown has had a super start to the meeting boasting an impressive 36% strike rate. He looks like the horse to beat and should get the better of short priced favourite Code of Honor, who may be pace compromised in this small field. Anything around 3.02/1 will do.
