"Trainer Brad Cox has a great crop of two-year-olds, and this likeable individual has a bright future ahead of her"
Nick Shiambouros was on the mark yesterday when both his selections won. Nick hopes to round off a profitable week with two more winners at Belmont Park...
Caldee for Cox
Race 7 21:12 Belmont Park - Caldee
I am going to side with Caldee in this interesting Grade 2 on the inner turf.
This filly was most impressive when beating Uptown Flirt at Saratoga in August. She made all the running and powered home to win with plenty to spare.
The switch to turf and the extra distance clearly suited this daughter of More Than Ready and further improvement is expected. Trainer Brad Cox has a great crop of two-year-olds, and this likeable individual has a bright future ahead of her. This is a competitive race so recommend backing her at BSP.
Dunbar Road a tough customer
Race 8 21:47 Belmont Park - Dunbar Road
Dunbar Road should go close in this Grade 2 on the main track.
This lightly raced filly won the Grade 2 Delaware Handicap with consummate ease at Delaware Park in July. She took the lead in the straight, and cruised home to win with any amount in hand.
She won the Grade 1 Alabama at the Spa last year and is unbeaten in two starts over the Belmont Park oval. She has the form in the book to take this, and the Chad Brown stable is firing on all cylinders. BSP is the way to go.
