Timeform provide their three best bets at Ayr on Tuesday...
"He boasts the most progressive profile in this race and his claims could hardly be stronger."
Timeform on Harrison Point
Cruyff Turn - 12:30 Ayr
Cruyff Turn was as green as grass in his first three outings, but he proved an entirely different proposition on his handicap debut at Redcar a couple of weeks back, showing much improved form to open his account, a truly-run race helping him settle much better than he had done previously. He remains unexposed and open to further improvement, and with this step up in trip likely to suit, he looks well placed to follow up.
Athmad - 14:40 Ayr
Athmad has been shaping better than the bare results suggest since the resumption of racing, and dropped back in trip, and under the steering of Paul Mulrennan, he ran his best races of the season to finish second at Beverley last week, leading inside the final furlong but just nailed by an improver with 50 yards to go. He has dropped a long way in the weights and makes plenty of appeal at this level.
Harrison Point - 15:15 Ayr
Harrison Point has gone from strength to strength this season, winning over this course and distance in July before following up at Beverley in August, staying on well on both occasions. He came up short in his bid for the hat-trick back over this course and distance last time, but he ran as though still in top form, shaping better than the distance beaten suggests, unable to recover after being denied a run over a furlong out. He boasts the most progressive profile in this race and his claims could hardly be stronger.
