Daugther of Treve worth taking on at Windsor
Testing conditions at Yarmouth are the order of the day and the soft ground shouldn't inconvenience Ismail Mohammed's Ala Kaifi, and he looks overpriced at 10/111.00 on the Sportsbook, plus we have three places to play with.
The 3yo ran a strange race last time at Redcar when upped to 1m6f. He was well-backed and sent off favourite but looked a difficult ride and was never really put into the race from rear.
Perhaps he was given a chance to stay, but he deserves another go to prove that run all wrong as he looked reasonably strong in terms of stamina on his previous run.
He won at at Doncaster previously over 1m2f, but crucially that performance came on soft ground and he gave an inkling he'll stay today's 1m4f.
Redcar was a stronger race at 0-85 grade and he should be happier at this level. The blinkers are back on having been left off for his previous two runs and Benoit De La Sayette is a positive.
Another Yarmouth selection goes in the finale at 17:05, and Dream Pirate is a 3yo on the up at the moment in a lowly grade, but he's another that has found an extra leg in testing conditions.
He'll be at home today with the soft and heavy.
Dream Pirate won easily last time out at Bath with a fairly straightforward performance on the pace winning from 65, and while 71 kicks in today makes it more difficult, he is at least progressing.
Previously he landed a 0-70 in the first-time blinkers over CD, once again with soft underfoot. He'll like the going and Marco Ghiani is 2-2 on him.
The presence of the blue-blooded Doha makes the market here, with the regal pedigree influencing her price more than her form.
She's a daughter of Sea The Stars and Treve - just about the best racing parents you can have, but she was turned over at 1/21.50 favourite last time at Leicester, and she was well beaten there too by nearly 10L.
Mother Margaret looks far more of a bet judged on her debut second at Newbury in the spring in soft ground. The winner Fakhama was ahead of her that day and she's now rated 94 and ran in Listed company at York.
Wolverhampton was her next port of call in June, but she missed the break and wasn't given too much of a hard ride afterwards from a poor position.
Back on soft ground is a huge plus today as she made the running at Newbury in April and she seemed to handle it well.
Her sire Kingman has a good record at Windsor too - with a 20% win rate and 44% placed.
