A winner and a second in yesterday's column

A first and second for the column yesterday and a comfortable victory for newcomer Alnyanaabi, who surprisingly drifted out to 11/82.38. Malka hit 2.1411/10 in-running, and he drifted too, so missing the double at a much bigger price was frustrating.
Monday's action is usually fairly quiet, but a decent 0-95 at Lingfield lights up the afternoon and Saeed bin Suroor has won the Lingfield 15:30 in 2022 and 2021, and he has a good chance of making it three on the spin with Nader.
At 7/24.50, he has plenty in his favour, including a fine victory in a 0-95 at Kempton back in October.
That was over 1m4f, and he made all to win by nearly 4L, and with so much in hand that day, he has to be a player in this off a mark of 94.
He clocked a good time at Kempton and considering he has won off a break in the past, the 164-day lay-off isn't an issue, and never is with the trainer's runners.
His pedigree includes a Hard Spun dam, so there's every chance he'll be a better horse on the AW and he is very much unexposed at the 1m2f distance.
A tiny bit of a drift on Be Frank from 2/13.00 to 5/23.50 will do for me at Windsor this evening, although I have gone with doubles at the track in the past two Mondays and have been met with plenty of trouble in running.
Be Frank at least has a small field to contend with only seven rivals, so no more trouble please.
His trainer Henry Candy is in a good run of form of late with 6-16 at 38% and the selection was a tidy winner last time out at Salisbury.
The win came on the quickest ground he'd faced, and coming from off the pace suited him. His mark of 79 could under-estimate his chances here.
Salisbury was his first run of the season and also his first since being gelded, so we are backing him to improve again - which he should do.
