Alan Dudman has two Dundalk picks on Friday
Some good old Dundalk favourites line up in the 19:15, with the likes of Sirjack Thomas and the ageless Skontonovski, but as I tipped Super Over last week and he ran pretty well, I am backing to go a couple of places better.
He finished behind the Ado McGuinness pair of Hightimeyouwon and Exquisite Acclaim, but the pace was slow and it turned into a sprint. While Super Over was well placed, a stronger gallop certainly would have suited him.
Previously he had finished a close fourth at the track after a break of 65 days, so he really has no excuse for Friday night and he has enough form in the bank at Dundalk to be a force.
I also like the angle with the visor to replace the cheekpieces to sharpen him up.
The champion jockey Colin Keane is on, although he is surprisingly 1-16 at the track this season - way down on his 131 winners in the last five years.
Snag It has dropped a fair old way in the weights and is worth a punt in the 19:45, although with a maximum of 14 and a few horses in form, it might take a bit of winning.
The selection is 2-14 on the All-Weather and last tasted success at Dundalk back in November with a win, and a fairly straightforward one in terms of being on the pace, from a mark of 56.
He went close off a much higher mark (61) two starts ago, and that was fairly remarkable as he pulled far too hard.
Often keen in races, he needs to settle down and I am hoping a maximum field will help although it will be interesting to see what his jockey does from 17 as he likes to be up with the speed.
Considering he won at Tipperary off 72 in 2022, the mark is still attractive, especially up from 1m to 1m2f - as today's trip does seem his best.
