Terresita was a most progressive mare last season with a couple of fine wins by double digits at Ludlow and she should have added a third but fell at Sandown in the closing stages when travelling easy.
That fall hasn't halted her progress however as she came out to win on her first start of the season at Carlisle and earned a superb triumph over Dan Skelton's Galia Des Liteaux. That was some scalp as Skelton's mare is rated 145 and she beat her by over one length and a fairly chunky gap to the third looks a standout piece of form.
She's up in class again today but she has shown she will be able to cope with better horses in opposition and as Ascot have watered, hopefully there will be enough moisture in the surface to help her.
Off 135 today, that could still underplay her abilities and I am happy to take her today.
I was left most impressed with Regarde's win at Kempton last time and Jamie Snowden's chaser looks to have a cracking chance at Ascot today.
It was decent ground at Kempton and he does have form on good, but it was the manner of his staying effort to pick up the field that impressed me last time.
The stiff finish at Ascot will certainly help on that front today and he gets the 3m standing on his head. Indeed, he looked to be under a bit of pressure at Kempton but picked up strongly after some indifferent early jumping and sealed the win going away with a lovely jump at the last.
He's up to 118 now but he is already three from six over fences and is most progressive.
