Alan Dudman has a Sportsbook double at 18/119.00
We head to Wolverhampton to try and snap a poor week and Jack Jones is a rookie trainer to note, and his The Waiting Game was strong in the market this morning on the Sportsbook from 4/15.00 into 3/14.00.
She has a good record on the All-Weather with a strike-rate of nearly 50% with five wins from 11 starts and she was short of room last time out at Wolves.
Ironically she lived up her to her name in that 0-80, as the pace was strong and while she was well placed on the inside just behind the pace-setters, there were no gaps inside the final furlong and it was goodnight Vienna.
The 4yo filly runs off the same mark of 78 and that still could be a winnable judged on that effort, and she manages to stay in 0-80 company.
While the draw is far from ideal in eight, she hopefully will have the same pace to aim at.
Jones, while it's early stages, has a 13% win and 40% place record from his 15 runners.
Connected looked like a horse who could make an impact in a few more races when he landed a 7f Handicap at Wolverhampton back in September.
That was his handicap debut and he came from off a strong pace to record a fair time to win off a mark of 55.
He seemed to enjoy the switch to the All-Weather after three turf starts and since then he has been sticking to 7f and was unlucky last time - another one who didn't get the rub.
The 3yo was in a hopeless position out the back, and while it may have been necessary from his wide draw, he was give too much to do.
Stepping up to 1m should suit him this evening, and while it's low grade stuff, he is unexposed on the All-Weather.
