For once I am going to shun an Ado McGuinness runner, or indeed pair in a decent handicap at 16:05 as Tom Gibney's Nahori looks one of the interesting runners on the card.
You don't often get the profile of this sort of horse at Dundalk with just one start and going handicapping, but I was very impressed with her debut win at the track in December.
That was her first ever start but there was a lot to like about the performance with the way she knuckled down strongly to win going away - and she received the perfect Dundalk ride too. She travelled well sitting in fourth on the inside and then made a beeline for the stands' side.
Her opening mark is 82, which demands a fair bit considering the top weight in this is rated 102, but she has any amount of improvement in her and the step up to 1m today looks perfect as she was so strong in the finish last time.
Ado McGuinness certainly gets the nod in the 17:45 as he's triple-handed, and his Dream Today should justify favouritism in what looks another good race.
I've backed him too many times, in his losing run may I add, but he has taken advantage of a dropping mark recently and has been in great form with back to back wins, showing last time the Dream Today of old as he is such a strong traveller.
He has an excellent strike-rate on the All-Weather and 6f is his trip.
His recent wins from 81 and 83 means he's now off a 4lb higher mark, but he was once rated in the high 90s and Cian McRedmond's claim is another big advantage.
Drawn in seven he looks my best bet for the night.
