Alan Dudman's double quest takes him to Southwell this evening, and following Heathen's single win yesterday, he is hoping to hit the target with a decent priced multiple...

Farasi to face fewer traffic problems

Heathen ran out a ready and tidy winner as a successful single at a BSP yesterday of 4.28, and while it's two singles in two days, the double search is evading me.

Southwell is nominated for tonight's two selections and Farasi Lane at 5/1 brings a different form line against Zip Lane and Justcallmepete.

Tom Ward's runner has been pitched into a couple of decent Lingfield handicaps of late and ran well behind a potential Lincoln horse of John Gosden, who was the winner off 90 in the Godolphin blue.

Farasi Lane must be sick of the sight of Unforgtten, as he was behind him previously too at Leafy, although he travelled sweetly in that but met some trouble.

Stall 12 doesn't look great this evening, but at least it means he won't be sucked to that inside rail at Southwell, one of my pet hates when jockeys go to that side.

Farasi Lane is well treated and unexposed on the All-Weather, but he's been in 0-90 company and has a chance here.

Joy with Kingston and Simcock

Back Kingston Joy @ 7/2 in the 20:30 at Southwell

The 20:30 1m4f Handicap doesn't strike me as a strong race, and Kingston Joy has a bit of upsides as an unexposed filly on just her second run in this sphere.

She improved to win her handicap debut last time out at Lingfield with a bit in hand against some inferior rivals, and unusually for a David Simcock horse was given a forward ride.

The 1m4f increase last time suited her and she looks as though she will get further in terms of her stamina, so it could be ideal for a more demanding finish at Southwell.

Her Lingfield win was highlighted with three closing sectionals all strongest, and ran a sub-12 second one 3f out. A mere rise of 4lbs might not be enough to stop her, especially as she looks to have plenty of scope in terms of her size.

7/2
Simcock is on the hot trainers' list at the moment with 6-25 at 24% and a +12.63 profit.
