Alan Dudman is playing each-way on Wednesday in two of the big handicap chases of the day...

Jonjo O'Neill for Welsh National honours?

Top weight selection for Paddy Power Chase

Alan Dudman goes with six places for both on Wednesday
This year's Coral Welsh Grand National won't be in quite the same gruelling conditions as we have been accustomed to, but it's still "The Grueller" and a couple of 150+ rated performers head the weights.
I am going for one of the younger horses in the shape of Iron Bridge, who has only been out once this season and that wasn't exactly one to get excited about.
Now I admit, I am not in a club of one in finding it hard to predict a winner from the Jonjo O'Neill stable, but I can take the 12/113.00 and he could well drift as an each-way bet with the extra place on offer from the Sportsbook.
I've always had him down as a staying type, and I am fascinated to see him over this extreme sort of test as a 7yo taking on some grizzled warriors, and he should have a good chance of staying on easier ground than the usual bog.
He had a comeback spin at the start of December at Newbury over an inadequate 2m4f, so that could have well been to get a sighter in before the bigger targets. That was also his first run of the season since the spring.
Following a novice win at Carlisle last term, Jonjo Jr said he was "a 3m chaser all day long".
He beat Topham winner Bill Baxter over hurdles at Ffos Las, and connections didn't even bother going handicapping with him over hurdles so his mark of 142 is certainly one that he can improve on.
A big contender for me, and we have six places too.
Trainer Noel Meade wasn't wrong at all following Idas Boy's comeback win for the season at Punchestown last time when saying: "He'll get top weight for the Paddy Power".
Indeed he has, a mark of 149 and rise of 7lb but conditions could be ideal with yielding in the surface as Meade has said before he wouldn't want extreme going.
He produced an excellent round of jumping at Punchestown last time after 370 days off and was ridden as though fitness wasn't an issue, plus considering he was in the Florida Pearl last term (when pulled up), he might not have too many days in handicaps.
It took him a while to come back after pulling up in the Florida Pearl and he's very much lightly-raced with just four starts over fences.
