Jack for a Hatchet job on his rivals
14:15 Plumpton
Back Hatchet Jack @ 6/1
Chris Gordon isn't quite on the hot list at the moment but Plumpton was a happy hunting ground last season and Hatchet Jack can build on a recent first start for the yard.
At eleven years of age, he won't be improving fast anytime but he ran an improved race at Fontwell last time over 3m2f on decent ground.
He runs off the same mark again today - so he's rather limited, but Freddie Gordon takes over from Tom Cannon and is able to claim.
His glory days are behind him as he was rated 120 in his prime, but ground conditions will be in his favour today as he bids to break his duck under rules.
Session back for more for the Barrons
17:15 Hamilton
Back On A Session @ 15/2
Plenty of each-way opportunities for punters for Hamilton's Sunday Series card, and five Extra Place Specials on the Sportsbook are available for the handicaps.
The 17:15 1m1f 0-90 gives us the chance to take the 15/2 on the Nicola and David Barron runner Back On Session.
Drawn in 10, the 7yo has held his form well for a number of years now for the stable and bounced back to form last time for a switch to the turf - and he landed a Sunday Series race at Musselburgh.
He has some early pace to get a good position, and while back up to 90 and a top weight berth, he's not badly treated on his old form.
