Alan Dudman has a Dundalk 11/112.00 Friday double
Cliffcake was extremely well back to win yesterday but our double was followed with a second. Indeed, it was a night where Roy Bowring's horses all ran well, and three of his runners appeared in the popular multiples sections on the Betfair homepage.
On with Friday and praise the lord for Dundalk, and Dream Today can hopefully kick us off with a winner in the 16:00.
I have always had plenty of time for this horse, maybe because he is trained by Ado McGuinness, but he's a tough customer who generally holds his form well and as a 9yo, still can mix it in half decent handicaps.
He gained a win on his latest outing over CD with a positive ride to win off 81. Off only 2lb higher, and that still keeps him in the lenient category considering his peak rating a few years ago.
I was fuming with myself for missing Little Keilee last time, as she has appeared in this column a couple of times prior to her latest win and given a lot to do in some of her races from hold-up rides, it was galling to see her make the running and dominate last time - when I missed her.
Today she is 3/14.00 and I don't see her drifting too much, as we can often see with the volatile Dundalk markets, but she was an easy winner last time and I want to keep her onside again as she could still be ahead of her mark of 75.
Her latest win over 7f saw her travel well, and she should have no issues with the extra furlong up to 1m as she does stay.
With eight starts on the All-Weather, she still remains unexposed on the surface and there should be a couple of more opportunities over the winter for her to go in again.
