Ryan Moore Superboost (City Of Troy)
He's been labelled a potential super star, and today City Of Troy is 4/61.67 favourite to win the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket under the hands of Betfair Ambassador Ryan Moore later today.
And if you fancy last season's champion 2yo to win the first Classic of the season then click the 'Bet here' tab below to back him at the super-boosted price of 1/12.00.
Rabaah looked a horse with plenty of speed and class when winning a couple of races on the All-Weather last winter - scoring both at Lingfield and Wolverhampton.
He looked a colt with immense speed and while he won at Wolves by 4L, he was keen and eager to get on with things.
I was looking forward to seeing him in some decent races last season on the Flat, but he appeared only twice, and while he ran a fair race in a handicap at York off 97, he was too keen in Listed company on his only other start on the turf and disappointed.
Charlie Hills has persisted with him, and he's had time off and been gelded. Whether he's turned the corner in terms of keeping a lid on his temperament we'll see, but at 6/17.00, he's got a lot of ability and that could look a big price.
The York form looks a standout run as that was a hot race, and off 96 today and first run of the season (has won fresh), he's an interesting runner.
It looks as thought City Of Troy just has to turn up for the 2,000 Guineas if the betting is anything to go by, and at 8/131.61, it offers a price on some of the challengers.
I cannot quite believe that Notable Speech is a 10/111.00 shot - a horse who absolutely blitzed his rivals with a superb turn of foot last time at Kempton.
William Buick seemed to test his mettle in his latest run, as he put him in a battle and a gap to run through and he was well up to the challenge as it was settled in seconds. Buick said afterwards: "He'd handle a little bit of cut in the ground but he's a very fast horse with a low action, so he would like decent ground. He's a speedy miler."
It's a different sort of prep in terms of three starts all at Kempton, but it was a wet winter and he does have the advantage of racing as a 3yo so there are no negatives in terms of fitness or him training on from two to three.
All three starts have been at 1m, and I don't see him going up in trip at all with his speed. He overcame a slow pace to win on his second start and was also impressive on his debut.
His sire Dubawi can get quick milers, and it's worth noting Coroebus, who was by the stallion, won this two seasons ago.
