Alien Storm to go well after a break

Today's double pays around 20/121.00 on the Sportsbook
There's one extra place special race at Plumpton this afternoon, although the price of Proper Twelve at 4/15.00 isn't an each-way number, but he looks too big in comparison to the favourite Icare Grandchamp.
Indeed, the swapped positions at the betting summit very early this morning.
The latter has yet to win a race in six attempts and it will be interesting to see how the horse goes in the market, but Proper Twelve won so easily at Market Rasen last time, he has to be of interest.
Chris Gordon's 5yo is young enough to suggest he's an improver, especially over the trip of 2m5f, as he posted a runner-up effort in the spring over CD before his latest win.
It was good to soft at Rasen that day so he has his conditions once more, and he has a bit of stamina in his pedigree too with an Irish National winner in there.
Gordon is most definitely the trainer for Plumpton as he has fired in 50 winners from 221 runners in five seasons at 23%.
A pair of horses rated above 120 in the following 15:45 is one of the better races at Plumpton for the Sunday faithful at the track and Alien Storm is another who will have his conditions and ground.
He scored at Plumpton as a novice hurdler last winter over CD on his hurdling debut and looked a nice prospect that day with a 4L win, and then ran under a penalty in a better race at Kempton the following month to finish second conceding 7lb, and that was a good effort in the face of some scrappy jumping.
The 5yo is still not the finished article as he was green when landing his novice, and his jumping was obviously not quite up to scratch at Kempton.
Alien Storm was last seen in April when giving Nicky Henderson's Russian Ruler a race, and that horse won off 127 there and is an improver.
The selection likes Plumpton as he also ran well in his bumper in his younger days and Charlie Longsdon has also booked Bradley Roberts to claim 5lb, and he looks to have a good chance.
