Horse Racing Tips: Albion and Blackstone the Dundalk each-way duo for Friday

• Two Extra Place Specials at Dundalk with four places

• Princess down in trip to fare better

• Wide open contest for the 19:30

Dundalk - 19:00: Back Albion Princess

With just Sandown for the afternoon and a raft of small field races, Dundalk's Extra Place Specials on the Sportsbook come into play for Friday, starting with the 19:00.

Albion Princess for Donal Kinsella is a double-figure price at 10/111.00 and takes a big drop in trip from 1m3f to 1m, something I see as a plus.

While she wasn't beaten far last time at the track, others were staying on with more purpose, but she was also on the wrong part of the group away from the stands' side, and winners are mostly coming up the stands' side these days.

She was a winner over 1m in the UK for Roger Charlton and her mark has come down a fair bit since then. Off only 57 with the 1m now, we can play her each-way with the four places.

Dundalk - 19:30: Back Blackstone Cliff

A similar angle with a selection coming down in trip again with Blackstone Cliff, who was a mover from 14/115.00 this morning on the Sportsbook in a race that looks there for the taking.

The market leader What Adaay is 1-22, and the second favourite Master Garvey is still a maiden after 17 attempts.

Comfort Line is of interest, but so is Blackstone Cliff down to 1m from 1m3f, and his effort wasn't a total lost cause last time behind Oakley.

Oakley at least looks unexposed and the selection has plenty of experience around Dundalk and can at least boast some winning form here, which is not something that can be levelled at some of his rivals.

His last piece of worthwhile form came on the Flat at Navan in July and he stayed on quite well in soft conditions there. He's on a lower mark for this and will stay from off the pace, as he is likely to be held up.
