Daily Racing Multiple: William looks a Sweet selection for Gosden

Trainer John Gosden has some fine all-weather stats at Kempton

Alan Dudman has hit 14 single winners in the last 14 days with a 31/1 double last Thursday, and he heads to Kempton for Monday's multiple...

Gosden headgear stats look good for William

Back Sweet William @ 3.7511/4 in the 19:30 at Kempton

Thursday's 31/1 double was the second decent duo landed in seven days for the column thanks to New Kingdom and Funny Story. Indeed the former drifted out to a massive 18.0 BSP. It's now 14 single winners in 14 days and I am looking to keep the run going at Kempton tonight.

The opening leg is in the 19:30 1m4f Novice Stakes and like clockwork, I'll be following a Normandie Stud horse with potentially bags of stamina.

Sweet William will be making his debut from stall 7, and if ever there was a horse to start out over 1m4f for a first run, this is it.

He's a half-brother to the great Hurricane Lane, but crucially his dam was a 2m winner. And considering he is a Sea The Stars, he is marked down as a strong stayer for today's distance.

Sea The Stars has a 16% win record at 1m4f at Kempton, while John Gosden puts on the cheekpieces for Sweet William's debut, and the yard with Slim Thady as a guiding help have a 24% success rate with cheekpieces at Kempton.

Stone can show more over a suitable trip

Back Sea Stone @ 10.09/1 in the 20:00 at Kempton

If ever there was a horse bred to be a world beater it's Sea Stone - a son of Sea The Stars and a mother in White Moonstone - who was a super talented 2yo for Godolphin that was on the track all too briefly.

Sea Stone makes his handicap debut tonight from a good-looking opening mark of just 77.

He showed a bit more at Salisbury last time over 1m2f, but the slow pace and steady nature of the race went against him.

It proved to be most inadequate, so the chance to go up to 1m4f will see him in a better light

He potentially could be quirky or at least have a touch of temperaments as he flashed his tail on second start and went off too hard on debut. However, he was gelded before Salisbury and while he lost a couple of things and stud value too, we should see him in a better light.
