Vino can spark back to life with a return to 2m
Back Vino Victrix @ 6.511/2 in the 18:45 at Kempton
The Charmer scored for the column yesterday to give us a winning first leg and a well backed 13/2 shot, but Sapphire Moon at a big price couldn't hit a place although she did run one of her best races of the season.
Hughie Morrison has something of the regal Nigel Havers about him too on the theme of the Charmer, and his Vino Victrix can get back on track in the Kempton feature tonight over 2m.
The 6yo hasn't scored from his two starts this season, which is disappointing as he looked a typical progressive Morrison young stayer. But his two outings thus far have both been over 1m4f, and both have failed to suit this son of Sir Percy.
He competed in a decent 0-95 last time behind the smooth travelling Pearl Beach, while the second Dubai Welcome is a good horse too. Vino Victrix just didn't possess the speed to deal with those rivals.
A return to CD is a big plus, and he has winning form over track and distance from last season. He also picked up a Sandown 1m6f handicap in good style and that race was boosted several times subsequently.
Shamekh has strong claims for SBS

A short price at Evens for the second selection and it's hard to get away from in-form trainer Saeed bin Suroor - who holds a recent 30% strike-rate over the last month and his Shamekh looks to have a golden opportunity to get off the mark on third outing.
His two nearest rivals in the betting look exposed, and Shamekh certainly improved on his latest outing over 1m at Doncaster.
The time was a good one on the clock, and the fifth Operating has since boosted the form with a win.
His Brazilian dam is out of the great Nedawi, who bin Suroor trained in the late 90s in his heyday. It's perhaps a stark reflection as to where the trainer is at the moment considering his one runner at Bath is far removed from the 117-rated great, but a winner is a winner, and he should be fine on the good ground.
Ray Dawson rides, and his record teaming up with the trainer is a fine one at 33% with eight winners from 24 mounts.
