Alan looks to the All-Weather today for a Sportsbook multiple ending at Wolverhampton

Alan Dudman had a 6/1 single winner and a successful each-way double at Plumpton yesterday, and he goes in search of a 14/1 multiple on Tuesday...

  • En Coeur won at 6/1 for Alan yesterday

  • George Boughey set for a good afternoon

  • Alan Dudman picks a 14/1 Sportsbook double for Chelmsford and Wolverhampton

Even to star for the first pick at Chelmsford

Back Evenstar @ 4.57/2 in the 13:30 at Chelmsford

En Coeur was a 13L winner for the column yesterday and tipped at 6/1 to win by a streak, while I See You Well landed the each-way part of the double with an honourable fourth to defy a bit of a market drift in the morning.

We're sticking once again with a trainer for both picks today and I am looking to rising star George Boughey to have a bit of success at Wolverhampton and Chelmsford.

The Essex track is the first port of call, and with the decent priced winner of the first leg yesterday, it does give you the Cash Out option - which is what we had before the New Year with Hurricane Highway going in at 16/1 only for the second pick to falter.

Evenstar shaped very well on debut in a Southwell Novice last month won by John Gosden's big filly Ceanna. The pace was very steady early on and the first and second were in better positions to kick into the turn, while Evenstar was caught on her heels somewhat but stayed on well under a hand ride.

Two of her three closing sectionals were quicker than the winner's, and the race finish speed of 111% highlighted just how slow they went in the early part. Her dam is by Sea The Stars, so she'll want a trip further down the line.

Her sire Havana Grey has an excellent placed record of 53% at Chelmsford and Boughey in the last five seasons at the course is 9-56 at 16%.

Can Boughey land us a double with Queen?

Back Queen Of Ipanema @ 3.7511/4 in the 17:00 at Wolverhampton

The opening 17:00 1m1f Apprentice Handicap is the best race on the card in terms of grade, and Queen Of Ipanema has been solid in the betting this morning from 10/3 to 3/1 and looks to have an excellent chance.

She was mopping up races for fun earlier this winter, and has been a real credit to Boughey for a fine year with five races on the spin that saw her victorious.

The sequence started in October at Wolverhampton in 0-55 company, and was even better with a near 5L win on her start at Dunstall Park subsequently.

She loves the track since a tongue-tie was added and scored in 0-85 company last month with a hard fought success in 0-85, and considering that was over 1m4f, she stays ever so well and is clearly versatile.

Queen Of Ipanema ran in the Lingfield Winter Oaks Trial last time, and while she was outclassed, she didn't totally disgrace herself and drops back down in class and the 1m2f today looks her best distance.

Adam Farragher also claims some weight, and this looks a good bit of placing as her rivals appear to be a real mixed bag.

One of her victories at Newcastle was off a fast pace, and her sectionals highlighted at the end how well she stays. If they go hard here, and they tend to at Wolverhampton, she can pick them off towards the end and looks a good bet.
