Shoemark can continue his Windsor run with Music
Back Bling On The Music @ 3.02/1 in the 19:35 at Windsor
While Hexham provided a "back to form day" yesterday for the column with a first and second, it was also agonising as Dolly Dancer hit the front and was swinging away in the second leg, only for Dinons to find something and outstay our mare - who hit 1.091/11 in-play. Agony, as it looked as though the 15/1 double was in.
Well done to Prince Dundee though getting back on track, and a nice drift too for the first winning selection. A proper Hexham horse who went out to 4.2513/4 pre-race.
Monday's pair are at Windsor, and playing in the 19:35 means opposing a William Haggas runner who heads the betting at odds-on with La Yakel at 4/6.
I'd rather back Ed Walker's Bling On The Music, who showed ability on first run last year at Haydock, and that was behind a decent horse for Haggas that day in Educator - who has scored this season from 85.
Bling On The Music needed the outing, and did improve on his latest start and first for the campaign at Salisbury. The ground was quick that day and the winner made all at 7f, and it wasn't a bad effort as Windseeker held some reasonable juvenile form.
The 7f that afternoon looked against Bling On The Music, so returning to 1m will suit for this son of Sea The Stars, who certainly has something on his looks and pedigree.
Lambourn trainer Walker's last six runners include two winners and three seconds. While Kieran Shoemark is flying at Windsor this term and he's been riding very well here recently, and his 5-19 this term at the track is second only to William Buick.
Moon has a chance to redeem herself
Back Sapphire's Moon @ 7.06/1 in the 20:10 at Windsor
Tony Carroll's Sapphire's Moon appeared for the multiple recently at Brighton for her last outing and a number of factors went against her 13 days ago, so for that reason she deserves a shot at giving her running under more suitable conditions in the final race by the river.
She raced at Brighton last time, where the ground is normally quick, but a shower burst and rain had got into the surface and it looked a lot harder than the official going description. Soft-ish didn't suit her and it was no dice.
The 3yo was also over-racing and the keenness, coupled with the ground meant she faded and didn't get home.
Back at 5f tonight, and a pretty quick 5f too will suit and that's a positive, while the quicker terrain for her this evening is a big plus.
Draw 15 complicates matters slightly, but she has been dropped another 3lb to 55 and was placed three times last year all from higher marks - including a second at Chepstow on rattling fast.
Carroll's up there on the leaderboard with three winners at the track this season at around 14%, while Luke Morris takes over from Marco Ghiani, and this is an Extra Place Special race if you're looking for the each-way angle.
