Alan has a big price Lucky 15 for Cheltenham on Thursday

Alan Dudman has Day 3 fancies for the Cheltenham Festival in his latest each-way Lucky 15...

Cheltenham Day 3 Superboost

Twelve-time Grade 1 winner Jonbon has been well-backed to win today's Ryanair Chase at 16:00, and the Betfair Sportsbook have generously super-boosted his price to 1/12.00 to finish in the first three.

The Nicky Henderson-trained stable star has never failed to finish out of the first two in all 26 career starts, and with the stable in hot form this week Jonbon should give followers an excellent run for their money

Paddy Power Stayers' Hurdle, 15:20, Cheltenham - Back Kabral Du Mathan EW 3 places @ 16/54.20

At the time of writing, Gordon Elliott hasn't enjoyed the best day-and-a-half at this year's Festival and his twin aces in the Stayers' Hurdle hold mega claims, obviously with Teahupoo in 'his race'.

I am keen to take a few on here and Kabral Du Mathan is worth the risk in terms of stamina and as a fast improving horse for Dan Skelton who won't mind drying ground. I can see him going ever so well.

He had the weight allowances in the Relkeel, but he effectively toyed with them in that Cheltenham field on New Year's Day and, while Harry Skelton said afterwards he isn't a slogger, he did indicate he will get 3m down the line. We get to find out now.

Bar a mistake he was foot perfect in the jumping and picked up well. He'll travel for sure and might need to sit a little closer to the pace than usual.

Ryanair Chase, 16:00, Cheltenham - Back Banbridge EW 3 places @ 13/27.50

If Fact To File turns up at his best in the Ryanair as the 4/71.57 hot favourite, the others might as well go home, but we have three places here so let's go with the old boy Banbridge.

Clearly not a three-miler anywhere else other than Kempton, he has a little to prove in the Cheltenham stakes too.

He was beaten in the Ryanair in 2024, finishing ninth, and showed himself a complete non-stayer in the Gold Cup last year, but this is his trip and good ground, as it seems to be thus far, will suit him.

Banbridge simply looks a little too big for a King George Kempton winner who was second in that race on his latest start, denied a nose by The Jukebox Man, ahead of Gaelic Warrior.

He has a good record at Cheltenham despite his last two runs at the Festival, but key for me is the going.

Pertemps Final, 16:40, Cheltenham - Back Kijiko EW five places @ 14/115.00

The column went close with Philip Hobbs' Sober Glory on Tuesday in the Supreme and hopefully the Devon maestro can strike with Kijiko. He's a big enough price with the five places here at 14/115.00. He had drifted a little from 12/113.00 too on Wednesday afternoon.

He's a prominent racer and a possible one to make the running (which would be a good thing) and landed a Pertemps Qualifier at Sandown in December from 127 with a big gap to the third. The third that day, Ikarak, has won a good race in Scotland since, and Kijiko was about 0.80 seconds stronger at the end of the race than him.

Kijiko stayed well at Sandown, and his win at Cheltenham over 3m at the November meeting saw him gallop on strongly up the hill, with the final furlong again a good indication of his staying power. He was nearly a full second faster than the hardy Gowel Road.

Callum Pritchard won on him last time and can claim. A personal best is needed but a good mark of 135 keeps him onside.

Kim Muir, 17:20, Cheltenham - Back Kim Roque EW five places @ 8/19.00

Readers of the old "Tricolore 1A" from my school days will have some connection with Kim Roque - who used to race around Dieppe. If only there was a La Rochelle course too?

Since leaving previous trainer Daniela Mele, making the switch to Joseph O'Brien, his three starts haven't quite hit the highs.

He could have perhaps won on debut for 'O'Brien the II' in November in a novices' race over fences. He travelled well into the turn off a pace that saw a race finish of nearly 107%, but a mistake at the 11th and then the howler at the last fence that saw him slither and almost unseat, left the win money behind.

His fourth in the December Gold Cup at Cheltenham was a race full of incident - most of it bad for Kim Roque, who made errors and was bumped more than once and tight for room into the final fence. The race didn't pan out ideally either, as Glengouly made the running and Vincenzo sat on the pace prominently, with those two finishing first and second.

The new trip does offer hope. He was running strongly up the inside in the December Gold Cup and, with a better jumping round, can produce one of his better runs.

Alan Dudman's Day 3 NAP: Kabral Du Mathan in the Stayers' Hurdle @ 16/54.20

Kabral Du Mathan is the positive whipper snapper in this field as a six-year-old compared to Bob Olinger, Home By The Lee and Hewick.

Kabral Du Mathan is a horse with speed for a stayer and travels so well, so any sort of tactical race immediately draws me to him, but with the way he stormed up the hill to win the Relkeel on New Year's Day, staying well might just be his game too.

The key factor also could be the going. He has been kept fresh since that run on good ground and the potentially good ground on Thursday will help his smooth style.
