Edward Sexton is a lightly-raced six-year-old who had some very strong form in bumpers, finishing in front of no other than subsequent Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner Old Park Star on his debut.

He hadn't shown much on the Flat kept to the all-weather, but he landed a gamble returned to turf over a mile and three quarters at Haydock earlier this month.

That was a clear career best in this sphere, and it was his change of gear which won him the race in one which didn't really test stamina, quickening clear nicely inside the final furlong.

Edward Sexton was given the Horse In Focus Flag, highlighting him as one to follow, and he's very much one to keep on the right side with this drop back in trip now expected to be a problem.

Majestic Dane's sales price rose considerably as a yearling, and he landed the odds in some style on his debut over seven furlongs at Newcastle at the end of January.

He looked a useful prospect on that occasion, travelling smoothly before readily drawing clear in the final furlong, leaving the impression he had plenty more to offer.

Majestic Dane wasn't able to follow up under a penalty over the same course and distance the following month, stepping up quite a bit on his debut form and looking likely to follow up - he traded at 1.18 in running on Betfair - before the eventual winner launched a late rally.

He has been off the track since, and also undergone a gelding operation, but he's in good hands, and looks potentially well treated now entering handicaps. There's further improvement to come and he'll be well suited by this step up to a mile.

Tamarind Bay is a maiden over hurdles, but he's shown much improved form since sent chasing, winning his first two starts in this sphere by wide margins at Stratford and Uttoxeter.

He was again well fancied for his hat-trick bid at Perth this month, and he looked the likeliest winner until unseating his rider three from home.

Tamarind Bay was awarded the Horse In Focus Flag as a result, given he travelled through that contest like a horse who is still ahead of the handicapper, so he makes plenty of appeal able to race from the same mark.
