Mobile can bounce back after lacklustre Stratford run
14:10 Bangor - Back Going Mobile @ 6.05/1
Plenty of rain is due to hit Bangor for the second day of their meeting, and if the going rides testing, Going Mobile should not be inconvenienced if conditions take a turn for the worse.
This horse has had issues with his wind in the past, but he ran well over course and distance in July when he raced up with the pace. He was beaten seven lengths in the end, but it was certainly a run to suggest he can win in this grade.
Last time out he ran no sort of race at Stratford, whether the trip (2m4f) was the problem is open for question, but trainer Sam England's horses are running well, and off a lowly mark of 95 can make his presence felt.
Keep on eye on the ground with City Never Sleeps
17:00 Bangor - Back City Never Sleeps @ 13.012/1
This 2m5f handicap chase could revolve around Vocaliser - who was a winner over course and distance last time, but he could be short enough in the betting at around 4/5.
At far greater odds is City Never Sleeps - who has ran well in testing conditions in the past. If the forecast rain changes the description with soft or heavy by 5pm, he can handle a gruelling test.
Last time he was beaten at Uttoxeter, but that was his first run back after a break of 170 days so he'll be a lot sharper for this in terms of match fitness.
He ran well in heavy ground at Southwell over this sort of distance last March and made the running on that occasion, so expect him to kick on again. With 10 runners, the Place market should be considered too.
