"He certainly looked well handicapped in that, and his rating of 81 on the Flat would make him look ready to strike."

Back Andaleep @ 4.67/2 in the 15:10 at Taunton

Alan Dudman heads to Taunton for the jumping action on Wednesday and is backing Andaleep to win over hurdles....

Imperium ready to strike for the third time

13:50 Nottingham - Back Imperium Blue @ 6.05/1

Trainer Nigel Tinkler has done well with his sprinters this year and his young up-and-comer Imperium Blue looks a good price at 6.05/1 to keep his run going.

Previously a scorer with Jamie Osborne, the horse was switched to Tinkler for his latest start - which was a winning one at York. He was taken off his feet a bit early on when rousted towards the rear, but the excellent Faye McManoman got him rolling on the outside to outstay his rivals in soft conditions. He won furthest away from the stands' side, which I find not the best route, so he could be worth upgrading on that run.

He certainly sees out his races strongly, and that was evident when taking a victory at Ripon over 6f previously.

The 2yo handles soft ground and with his stamina, I can see him coming home strongly again. When he scored at York he hit a high in-running of 330.0329/1, so he could be one to back at a higher price in-play.

Andaleep can score from ultra-low weight

15:10 Taunton - Back Andaleep @ 4.67/2

Andaleep looks a strong-travelling type and he gets the nod to land the 15:10 at Taunton.

At the time of writing the ground was given as good to firm, but rain is forecast for the day. I am not too worried if there is a change as the horse has shown he does act in softer conditions.

Last time he travelled all over a field at Wincanton and enjoyed the sharp track there when he whizzed around the far side into the straight, but he couldn't quite pick up to seal the deal.

He certainly looked well handicapped in that, and his rating of 81 on the Flat would make him look ready to strike. Plus, he's getting plenty of weight from his rivals in this from just 10st 1lb.

There could be the potential to lay back your stake as he was matched at 1.548/15 at Wincanton, but I give him another chance to win a race.
