We're off to Brookline for the third major of the year and our man's here with the lowdown ahead of the 122nd US Open...
Steve Rawlings says: "This major tends to be an almighty grind, making headway up the leaderboard as the week progresses is incredibly tough, and up with the pace is where you need to be in a US Open.
"Rahm sat tied for sixth and three off the lead with a round to go last year but that was as far back as he'd been all week long and most winners are in the van throughout.
"The 2021 winner, DeChambeau, sat second after rounds two and three and he was the seventh US Open winner in-a-row, and the 11th in 13 years, to sit first or second with a round to go. The last 23 US Opens have been won by someone within four strokes of the lead with a round to go...
"With four wins in 13 months (including two in his last six starts), 25-year-old Sam Burns ticks plenty of form and trend boxes this week and I was quite surprised to see his price hold up as last week's event played out.

"The world number nine ranked first for Greens In Regulation when finishing tied for fourth in Canada and he looks a very fair price at 32.031/1."
Steve's bet: Back Sam Burns @ 32.031/1
Dave Tindall has three each-way picks for The Country Club in Brookline starting with an American who has found form...
Dave Tindall says: "Tony Finau gave us a great run at 25s in the Canadian Open last week where he confirmed his return to form by finishing runner-up after shooting 62-64 on the weekend. Not surprisingly no-one went lower over the final 36 holes.
A chirpy Finau said later: 'I felt like I was in good form coming in. Played really nicely all week.
'This is big. I'm looking forward to next week. Never seen Brookline. But any time you're coming off a good solid performance it always gives you confidence. My game is sharp and I'm looking forward to seeing the golf course next week and getting after it.'
Because of his poor start to the season, some of Finau's stats don't leap off the page but we need to be judging him on his recent play which shows two seconds and a fourth in his last five starts.
Dave's bet: Back Tony Finau each-way @ 31.030/1 - 10 places
On the eve of the 122nd edition of the US Open, Steve's had a good look at all side markets and he's picked out five bets ranging from 11/10 to 25/1...
Steve says: "Patrick Cantlay hasn't had a top-ten in a WGC event since he finished sixth in the WGC Mexico Championship back in 2019 and he's missed the cut in each of the last three renewals of the Players Championship.
"The 5/2 about him missing the cut again here looks fair but the bet I like is Jordan Spieth to beat him in the Tournament Match Bets section on the Sportsbook at 11/10.
"The 2015 US Open winner has been in fair form of late, edging out Cantlay in extra time at The Heritage before finishing second at the Byron Nelson, 34th in the US PGA Championship, seventh at the Charles Schwab Challenge and 18th in the Memorial Tournament."
Steve's bet: Back Jordan Spieth to beat Patrick Cantlay @ 2.111/10 Sportsbook
Next up Dave consider who is well-equipped to make a fast start on Thursday as he recommends three to back for first round leader...
Dave Tindall says: "Aaron Wise, who goes off at 8.02am, was a player I looked at on the outright market due to some strong recent form. He was runner-up at the Memorial Tournament last time out, sixth in the Mexico Open and also banked a top 25 in the US PGA.

"Wise has only played in a couple of majors since 2020, a pair of US PGAs, but in those he was second after round one in 2021 and 16th after 18 holes last month.
"And the last time he played the US Open, the American was second after the opening lap at Pebble Beach in 2019. There's plenty there to like so let's play him at 66/1."
Dave's bet: Back Aaron Wise each-way @ 67.066/1
For this week's Find Me A 100 Winner long odds golf bets column, Steve Rawlings has picked out two outsiders to trade at Brookline...
Steve says: "Louis Oosthuizen arrives in Massachusetts in search of his fourth top-seven finish in-a-row in the US Open and he was also second in 2015.
"Oosthuizen finished tied for 23rd the following year at Oakmont and he filled the same position at Erin Hills in 2017 but he's improved on those two efforts every year since, putting up event form figures since 2018 reading 16-7-3-2.
"The 2010 Open Championship winner isn't just a US Open specialist, having traded at a low of 1.824/5 at Torrey Pines in this event 12 months ago, he was matched at a low of just 2.01/1 at the Open Championship a month later, before finishing third to Collin Morikawa at Royal St Georges. In addition to winning the Open at St Andrews 12 years ago, he's finished runner-up in all four majors at least once.
"I like Louis in the outright market and he's a fair price at anything north of 8.07/1 to finish inside the top-10 again."
Steve's bet: Back Louis Oosthuizen @ 130.0129/1
Place order to lay 10u @ 10.09/1 & 10u @ 2.01/1
Ahead of every Major Dave Tindall studies the make up of the last 10 winners to come up with which player could be set for glory this years. Here's what he discovered about the US Open...
Dave Tindall says: "Although having a strong run in a recent Major is seen as a big plus, is it an advantage to have won one already?
"History says not. Five of the last six US Open champions hadn't won a Major before and, over our study period, seven of the last 10 were Majorless going into the week...
"Common sense says you don't go into the US Open searching for your 'A' game. And there is decent evidence that you have to be in good nick to meet the demands of a testing US Open track.
"That's shown by seven of the last 10 winners posting a top 15 in one or both of their previous two starts. Three hadn't though and Webb Simpson had missed his two previous cuts before lifting the trophy in 2012 so those without stellar form still score some points here."
Ten Year Trend Pick: Back Sungjae Im @ 67.066/1
Who has their eye on the third Major of the year? Who's the best bet? Who has the best form? Before striking your bets read Matt Cooper's guide to the leading players chasing glory...
Matt says of Rory McIlroy: "Might the Northern Irish enigma be finally ready to rid himself of his pesky quest for major championship win number five? In carding a superb 62 to win the Canadian Open last week, emerging triumphant after a head-to-head with Justin Thomas, he surely arrives in great confidence.

"Might McIlroy also have noticed that next week's women's PGA Championship is hosted by Congressional, scene of his sensational US Open win in 2011? Could it inspire a repeat? Between 2016 and 2018 he was pretty dire in this event, never breaking 77 in round one and missing three cuts.
"Three consecutive top 10s have followed but on each occasion he closed with final rounds of 72 or worse to move in the wrong direction on the leaderboard. He shot the low score in the final round at the Masters and grabbed the first round lead in the PGA, can he string four good rounds together this week?"
Matt's guide: Rory McIlroy @ 12.011/1
Andy Swales discusses the Majors stats that could help us pick a winner this week and selects eight to watch at Brookline...
Andy says: "Over the past five decades, US Open venues have generally been considered the toughest of the tough.
"Since Johnny Miller posted a record-breaking 63 to win the tournament at Oakmont in 1974, the USGA has made it their mission to create courses that provide 'the ultimate test of accuracy and touch'.
"Although this appears to have relented marginally in recent years, it usually takes something special for a golfer to post a double-digit under-par score at a US Open...
"Scottie Scheffler was a quarter-finalist at the US Amateur Championship which was staged here nine years ago. This makes him one of a select number of US Open entrants to have played competitive golf at this week's venue. "
Andy's Players to Watch: Scottie Scheffler @ 17.016/1
Dave arms you with the stats for a punt on the Top 5 and Top 10 Finish markets in the US Open at The Country Club...
Dave Tindall says: "Here's what defending champion Jon Rahm had to say about this week's event: 'It's a US Open. You need everything. You need to drive well, hit your irons well, chip well, and putt well and be mentally sane for four days.'
"Rahm was Low Amateur (tied 23rd) on his US Open debut at Oakmont in 2016 while he's finished third and first in two of the last three. He'll be itching to challenge after two modest majors so far in 2022: tied 27th at Augusta and tied 48th in the US PGA."
Dave's bet: Back Jon Rahm for Top 5 @ 4.3100/30
