RBC Heritage tips and predictions
Steve Rawlings: A 76 on Sunday saw Sepp Straka slip outside the top 40 at the US Masters so he has the underwhelming week at Augusta that's so often a positive here and he also has plenty of course form to his name too.
He finished only 33rd and 59th on his first two visits and he missed the cut in 2023, 12 months after he'd finished third behind Jordan Spieth, but he was tied for the lead at halfway two years ago before he finished fifth behind this week's favourite, Scottie Scheffler, who finished runner-up to Rory at Augusta, and a pair of 67s over the weekend last year saw him climb from 46th to 13th.
Straka has won the Cognizant Classic around the exposed PGA National layout, he has form at TPC Southwind, Waialae, Colonial Country Club and Pebble Beach so it's not at all surprising that this layout suits his eye and he's a very fair price at 70.0 given he's no bigger than 50/1 on the High Street.
Dave Tindall: My instinct is that the best strategy this week is the obvious one i.e. back Scottie Scheffler to win at 10/3 and Patrick Cantlay each-way at 16/1. This is an each-way preview so Scheffler doesn't interest me but Cantlay is hard to ignore given his record here.
Reading back from 2025, the Californian has course form of 13-3-3-2-MC-3-7-3. Five top threes! And, ahead of his return, Cantlay is absolutely trending in the right direction and doing things well that will reward him here.
After seventh place at the Valspar in his final event before the Masters, he shot middle rounds of 67-66 at Augusta before finishing 12th - his second best result in 10 starts there.
"I've hit the ball really well the last few days," said Cantlay, who ended up ranking 9th Tee To Green, 7th for Approach and, notably for what we're looking for, 1st Around The Green.
Talking about why he excels year in, year out at Harbour Town, Cantlay said last year: "I think the design is really good. I think it forces you to really play chess out there and put the golf ball in specific spots.
"There's no real advantage to hitting it particularly long, but you do have to control your golf ball. I tend to play out of the fairway here a lot, and that makes this place pretty easy."
Let's get aboard for the annual Cantlay Harbour Town challenge.

Steve Rawlings: With course form figures reading 6-8-MC-3-MC-5-11, the three time PGA Tour winner, J.T Poston, is just as obvious a fancy as Harman.Harbour Town is quite a unique and intricate layout and course form stands up very well there.
Poston hasn't been in sparkling form in 2026 but he improved his score every day when finishing 21st in Texas two weeks ago. The fact that he missed the US Masters last week for the first time in four years may provide extra motivation in an event he clearly enjoys.
he 32-year-old Sea Island native had form figures reading MC-MC-MC-33-33 when he won his third title at the Shriners Children Open two years ago so he can find form out of the blue and I can see why he's shortened up from the high of 150.0 that he traded at on Monday.
Patrick Cantlay is the headline tip in my outright preview and I have to include him here at almost double the price. As noted, the Californian has a remarkable course record with a second, four thirds and a seventh in his eight appearances at Harbour Town.
Honing in on his first round play, he's been in the top 10 after 18 holes five times since that first visit in 2017. More recently, we saw good signs of Cantlay racking up the birdies during the middle two rounds of the US Masters. He shot a 5-under lap in round two and went 6-under on day three, sprinkling 11 birdies and not a single bogey.
Seventh for Approach at Augusta National and 1st Around The Greens - the two best pointers for success here - Cantlay can thrive from his 13:05 tee-time.

Course Form Pick:
This week's favourite was second at the Masters and looked like he might be able to pip Rory McIlroy in Sunday's final round. It wasn't to be but this week, at a course where he has finished eighth, first and 11th on his last three appearances, may offer the chance to build a new winning run.
