Saturday Football Tips: Back Suarez to shine for Atleti

Atletico Madrid have their huge Champions League showdown with Man City to come, but domestic matters are still high on the agenda and they really need a win at Mallorca on Saturday.

Diego Simeone's side are in fourth in La Liga but have Real Betis not too far behind them so they'll want to extend their league winning run to seven matches.

On the plus side for the visitors, Mallorca are in the worst form of any side in La Liga as they've lost their last seven on the spin including three in a row at home without scoring a single goal.

Simeone may well make changes with City in mind, but luckily he has a decent squad and he can call on a few class players - with one of them being Luis Suarez.

The former Liverpool and Barcelona striker was an unused sub at the Etihad, and although he may be called upon in the second leg, he won't be starting, so should get a chance from the off here.

One of Antoine Griezmann or Joao Felix, or indeed both, should be given some sort of rest for the trip to Mallorca, and that should give Suarez the chance to score for the third game running for club and country.

Suarez is, in fact, Atletico's top scorer this season with 13, and 11 of those have come in La Liga and he'll fancy adding to that tally on Saturday.

Suarez will be going all-out to impress Simeone to get some involvement against City, and he scored twice in a 30-minute substitute appearance last week so should be able to make a big impact if he gets a start as expected.

He'll be taking shots from everywhere so two shots on target for Suarez looks a safe play at 1.910/11.

Mallorca are scrapping for their lives in the relegation zone, and only two sides have more yellow cards than them this season so we'll throw in some bookings for the home side to expand our Bet Builder on the game.

Mallorca average three cards a game but when to factor in their relegation fight, and the fact they're playing Atletico then one more on their average should be easily doable.
