Saturday Football Tips: Inter to strike early to sink Verona

• Verona conceded an average of 2.25 goals per game in last 12 at Inter

Inter had a disappointing draw with Monza in their last Serie A game but even with siome injury issues they should be looking at three points against struggling Verona.

Simone Inzaghi's side have won seven of their last nine league games and although the Scudetto still seems somewhat of a longshot they're still involved in a scrap for the Champions League places.

Verona very much aren't as their scrapping to avoid relegation, and although they've dragged themselves off the bottom with a win and a draw in their last two - they're still six points from safety.

Away from home Verona have managed to three draws and five goals, while Inter have tasted defeated just once at the San Siro, against Roma, and have responded with four straight wins.

And what's more, Verona haven't beaten Inter in the league for 30 years (D4 L18) and being on a run of conceding in their last 31 away league games won't help.

Neither will them conceding an average of over two goals a game against Inter in the last 12 trips to the San Siro, so it's easy to see why the hosts are big 3/10 favourites.

Inter are also just 1/4 to open the scoring here, something they've managed in seven of their last eight home league games, and have managed to turn that into five half-time leads.
