Friday Football Tips: Back Bellingham in BVB Bet Builder

It's always a treat to get a Borussia Dortmund game on a Friday night, but this match against an impressive-looking Freiburg could be a belter.

Dortmund did get the post-Erling Haaland era off to a winning start last week with a battling 1-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen, but Freiburg impressed even more with a 4-0 hammering of Augsburg.

They're outsiders to win here, but note that they're looking for a third straight home win over BVB after consecutive 2-1 victories at Europa-Park Stadion.

5-1 and 4-0 wins for the Black and Yellow at home in Dortmund show that Edin Terzic does have the better side, but Freiburg boss Christian Streich knows his men have what it takes to win this fixture.

Streich also knows, though, what it's like being battered by Dortmund as he's seen more defeats (14) and goals against (51) playing Dortmund than any other side.

Terzic has won eight league games on the spin back as Dortmund boss, and he'll be looking to the likes of Marco Reus, Anthony Modeste, Donyell Malen, Karim Adeyemi and Youssoufa Moukoko to fill the goal-scoring void.

Jude Bellingham also offers an attacking threat, and he had the second-most goal attempts in the team last week, with his three just one behind Reus.

You'd naturally ben drawn instantly to goals here, but both teams keeping clean sheets last week is just a hint of a red flag, and enough for us to look elsewhere.

This should still be a fast game - Terzic loves to play with that trademark Dortmund energy and their 18 ball recoveries on the opening day was a league best and eclipsed anything they managed last season.

Set plays could be a sound route to goal, as these two teams held the joint lead with Bayern last season for set piece goals - with Freiburg bagging another two last week.

Due to the height of Bellingham, it adds another layer to his attacking threat and makes the 2.47/5 on him to just have one shot on target look pretty generous.

The combative Schlotterbeck was booked last week and now makes his return to the club he played 49 times in the Bundesliga for before moving to Dortmund this summer.
