Red Bull Salzburg v Dinamo Zagreb
Wednesday 17:45 (Live on BT Sport 1)
In Belgium last night there was a bad result for Atletico Madrid but a good one for this column. Club Brugge stayed perfect in Group B with a 2-0 win that brought home our Under 2.5 Goals bet.
We're in Austria today for Salzburg's Champions League Group E clash with Dinamo Zagreb. Dinamo (W1-D0-L1) are second in the table, Salzburg are third (W0-D2-L0). They're sandwiched by AC Milan and Chelsea, so both will feel this is one of their more winnable games.
Dinamo won a Champions League qualifier here five years ago (2-1 to take the tie 3-2) but Salzburg are now unbeaten in five CL games at the Red Bull Arena and are odds-on favourites to win this one.
Dinamo have an atrocious away record in the competition: since November 1998 they are W0-D3-L16. They've already lost 3-1 at AC Milan this season. Their defence has been a problem for a long time, conceding at a rate close to three goals a game across those 19 matches.
Salzburg drew their first CL home game 1-1 with Milan. The problem they have here is an extensive injury list. Attackers Dijon Kameri and Fernando, who both started against Milan, will miss this match. At least Noah Okafor is still alive and kicking - he's found the back of the net in both of his side's first two matches.
Since that Milan game, Salzburg have drawn both their home Bundesliga games 1-1 - and their road trip to Stamford Bridge also finished 1-1. That's 4/5 1-1 draws in all competitions. It's an 8.615/2 shot in the Correct Score market. But can you trust Dinamo and their leaky defence and woeful road record?
If you at least fancy Dinamo to get on the score-sheet, look to Mislav Orsic. He's notched at least once on all of his last five appearances in major European competitions, including both Group B games so far. The Sportsbook's Bet Builder is the place to put together a bespoke multiple: we like Both Teams To Score and Orsic to score at around 5.04/1.
