What a game we've got on Sunday as Rio rivals Fluminense v Flamengo lock horns again at the famous Maracana.

There's just two points between second-placed Flamengo and fourth-placed Fluminense as they clash again for the sixth time in 2023 having each won two games with one draw.

The stakes are always high when these two meet but with them so close in the league table there's even more spice this time around.

Leg 1: Both teams to score

Flamengo are the top scorers in the division but they also concede plenty and the bring both teams to score well into play with Fluminense seeing both teams score in four of their last six.

In head-to-heads the stats are just in our favour with five of the last eight meetings seeing both teams score.

Even though it's pretty short at 6/101.60 both teams to score is a good place to start our Brazilian Bet Builder.

Leg 2: German Cano anytime scorer

And if we're backing a few goals then German Cano is your man, even as short as 6/52.20 to score anytime - as he's bagged more than a few this season.

The 33-year-old has scored 20 goals in 27 games so far in this campaign domestically and also six in five in the Copa Libertadores.

Throw in seven goals in his last in nine matches against Flamengo and Cano is definately the best bet to bag a goal here.

Leg 3: Over 6.5 cards

As you'd expect from a huge derby game like this the tackles always go flying in, and there's always plenty of cards being dished out.

Half of the last 10 meetings has sen the card count reach double figures, with eight of those 10 seeing a minimum of seven cards.

There's also been a whopping 14 red cards in just 10 games, with players being sent off in seven matches.

It's sure to be a full-blooded encounter yet again so best to go high on the card counts.
