Cameroon v Serbia
Monday 10:00 (Live on ITV)
Monday's first game brings together the two losers from Group G's first round of matches. Cameroon, who went down 0-1 to Switzerland, take on Serbia, who were eventually beaten 0-2 by pre-tournament favourites Brazil.
The Serbs are odds-on to win this one and we reckon they've got the firepower to outgun the Indomitable Lions.
Dragan Stojkovic's men were in good scoring form before they ran into Brazil's solid backline. The Serbs struck 13 times in their final five competitive matches before the World Cup, going W4-D1-L0 in the Nations League against Slovenia (twice), Sweden (twice) and Norway.
For this match, Stojkovic might bring Juventus's Dusan Vlahovic back into an attacking unit that already features first-tier talent like Aleksandar Mitrovic and captain Dusan Tadic.
Serbia have not looked so impressive at the other end of the pitch. Both teams scored in 7/8 of their World Cup qualifiers, with their only defensive clean sheet coming in one of two games with Luxembourg. They also conceded in 4/6 of those recent Nations League games.
Cameroon have talent in their own ranks and could take advantage of Serbian sloppiness at some point.
Several players ply their trade in the big leagues - in attack, look out for the likes of Bayern Munich's Eric Choupo-Moting, Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo and Lyon's Karl Toko Ekambi.
Unfortunately, Cameroon's recent scoring record isn't quite good enough to confidently back Both Teams To Score in this one: they've scored only four times across their last seven outings.
In fact, the Indomitable Lions have been less than indomitable of late. Since August, they are W1-D2-L4 including that opening defeat to the Swiss.
That sole win came against Equatorial Guinea, who are currently 98th in the Fifa rankings. With Serbia delivering positive results against stronger opponents in 2022, we'll back them to take the three points.
To turn that odds-on bet into an odds-against punt, we'll use the Sportsbook's Bet Builder to create a Serbia to win & Mitrovic to score double.
The Fulham has struck 12 times in 14 matches for club and country this season, finding the back of the net at least once in 9/14.
