Union Berlin v Braga: Focus on Fonte's fouls in 4/1 Bet Builder

Two of the Champions League surprise packages meet in Germany as Union Berlin make their home debut in the competition against Braga.

Both of them suffered heartbreak against European giants in their first games - with Union holding out at Real Madrid until conceding a sickener in stoppage time.

Braga, meanwhile, levelled against Napoli just six minutes from time, but scored an own goal to give the Italian champions a 2-1 win.

These sides met in the group stages of last year's Europa League with each winning their home game 1-0 - and something similar could well be on the cards again.

Leg 1: Under 2.5 goals

As Real Madrid found out, Union are a tough nut to crack and even at home they'll still operate with that clean sheet first mentality.

Braga have banged in a few goals this season with 10 of their 12 games seeing over 2.5 goals in them, but I think Berlin can counter that with their defensive excellence.

And that's what the big question is - Union's defence versus Braga's attack, especially given Union have had a couple of heavy home defeats in their last two outings.

Their display in Madrid though is a sign of what they can do and it'll be a back to basics game for them so we'll take them to keep it to under 2.5 goals at 5/61.84.

Leg 2: Jose Fonte 2+ fouls

Experienced Portuguese defender Jose Fonte should be lining up for Braga, and so far this season he's been no stranger to getting into trouble.

He's been booked in his last two games including against Napoli, and although you wouldn't rule out the hat-trick instead we'll back him for 2+ fouls at 15/82.88.

Fonte has given away a foul in seven of his last eight, with three of those being games with multiple fouls.

Union are a tough side so this should be a bit of a muscular scrap and that brings another multiple fouls game square into play.
