Thiago, Rogers and Saka all backed

Ste Tudor picks out four player bets ahead of Sunday's Premier League action including goals, cards, shots and fouls at odds ranging from 1/12.00 to 16/54.20

Brentford v Nottingham Forest

The Bees are unbeaten in seven at the Gtech, home form that has seen them threaten to gatecrash the top six. Forest meanwhile are a curate's egg away from the City Ground, with noteworthy victories and meek surrenders in equal measure.

Igor gets the parties started

Igor Thiago stands out in this one. How can he not with 0.83 goal involvements per 90 and 31 shots on target this term. Only Erling Haaland can better that.

The Brazilian striker notched when these sides met on the opening weekend of the season - a 3-1 reverse for Keith Andrews' side - and pertinently he has scored multiple goals in half of the ten games in which he has converted in 2025/26. Backing him to fire two or more this Sunday offers up 5/16.00

Another angle has greater appeal though. The 24-year-old has scored first in seven of those ten fixtures.

Crystal Palace v Chelsea

The Eagles' season has spectacularly unravelled but their woes at Selhurst Park precede their cup humiliation and losing Marc Guehi to Manchester City, a development that prompted Oliver Glasner to launch a blistering attack on the club's owners. Palace last won at home on November 1st.

Chelsea take the short journey south in relative high spirits, boasting three wins in four across all comps under new boss Liam Rosenior. The Blues are unbeaten in 16 vs Palace.

Caicedo in the thick of it

Champions League minnows Pafos were eventually undone by a Moises Caicedo diving header midweek and the midfielder takes our interest here for a recent spike in foul involvements away from the Bridge.

Only eight players have racked up more foul involvements in the top-flight this term so his numbers are high anyway.

Across his last three away outings, however, the Ecuadorian has been responsible for the ref blowing up - either for fouls for, or against - every 17 minutes.

Newcastle v Aston Villa

Unbeaten in eight at St James' Park, the Magpies' imperious home form tips this potential thriller in their favour, especially with Villa stumbling of late. It's worth noting that Newcastle have lost only two of their last nine encounters with sides starting the day in the top three while they last lost to Villa at home way back in 2005.

Rogers well worth a shot at Evens

We're spoilt for choice in the shots market for this one with Harvey Barnes averaging 2.65 attempts per 90 and Yoane Wissa letting fly at every opportunity, even if he has been largely wasteful. Joelinton has taken on three efforts apiece in his last two league outings and he is 11/43.75 to match, or better, that tally here.

It's the Villans' Morgan Rogers though who most warrants a punt this Sunday, the attacking midfielder registering 3.8 shots per 90 in his last eight appearances. That's a sharp hike from 1.8 per 90 across his eight games prior.

Arsenal v Manchester United

Arsenal v Manchester United

Live on Sky Sports Main Event

A rejuvenating derby win last weekend under interim boss Michael Carrick puts a slightly different hue on this marquee clash but still the hosts have to be strongly fancied. With their title-chasing form founded on a formidable rearguard, the Gunners have limited opposition to a single shot on target, or none at all, in 45% of their league fixtures this term.

Saka shoots early

At the other end, Arsenal may trail to United for SOT this season - with 110 registered to 127 - but with home advantage, and their watertight defence, that stat won't amount to much at the weekend.

Acknowledging this puts Bukayo Saka in the frame, the winger troubling the oppo keeper on 20 occasions this season while he also has form for troubling United. The England star boasts three goal involvements in four in this exact fixture.

Post-Christmas, the 24-year-old has taken on 11 shots at the Emirates. Seven of them have been before the break.

Let's keep Thiago as an isolated punt. Combining the other three however offers up great odds!
