In this week's Bet Builder Battle, Dimitar Berbatov is taking on the host of our Football... Only Bettor Podcast Kevin Hatchard, as they both take slightly different angles for the Super Sunday game at St James' Park...

Dimitar Berbatov Says:

Leg 1: Newcastle to win

Leg 2: BTTS

Leg 3: Over 3.5 Goals

Leg 4: Aleksandar Isak to score

Are Liverpool going to return to the level that we expect of them? It's still too early to tell because there's only two games in the season, you can see that Liverpool can concede goals.

Good players have left them, people are raising eyebrows about the players that are coming in. I don't think it's the same Liverpool that we're used to, but they are still dangerous because they have great players in the team.

Newcastle are a revelation, the way they play football and the whole team plays for each other.

Everyone is talking about the new boy at Newcastle, Sandro Tonali, when you score your first game it's great but it's about working hard, consistency and using your chances wisely. He had a tricky game against City but I like him.

I also like Alexander Isak, he has that confidence that he can score goals. He's fast and he knows where to run. Trippier is at that dependable level, you can always rely on him.

The whole Newcastle team is great, they ooze confidence, they know how to pass it to each other and they have a great midfield. They all fit so well with each other, Eddie Howe has built a great team and I hope they can do really well this season.

I can see there being goals in the game, both sides have strong attacking threats. Mo Salah is always a threat for Liverpool, upfront Jota is playing, but they also have Nunez who's not playing much at the moment, I think that is a tactical decision by Jurgen Klopp.

Newcastle can't underestimate Liverpool, they have firepower upfront, and I can see them scoring too.

Going to St James's Park, when the fans are really up for it and start shouting when their team are attacking it's a great place to go and play football.

With that in mind, it's going to be a major problem for Liverpool going to St James' Park so I think they're going to lose.

Kevin Hatchard Says:

Leg 1: Liverpool Win or Draw (Double Chance)

Leg 2: Aleksandar Isak 1 or more shots on target

Leg 3: Dominik Szoboszlai 1 or more shots

I'm taking on Dimitar Berbatov this weekend in the battle with Berba and I've seen his Bet Builder for Newcastle against Liverpool. It's perfectly fine, but I think I'm going to beat him this week.

I'm going to go for Liverpool or draw in the double chance, whilst i'll throw in Alexander Isak to have at least one shot on target. I think he's looked razor sharp so far and netted last time out at home against Villa.

For my final leg, I'm going to add in Dominik Szoboszlai just to have a shot in the game. He had a single shot at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea and followed that up with three more vs Bournemouth.

You combine all of those into one Bet Builder and you get a combined price of 2.6613/8.

Slow and steady wins the race for me in this battle and I think that's a winning selection.
