Serie A Tips: Back Atalanta and Inter to win

Max Allegri - Juventus
Can Max Allegri keep Juve's good run going?

As Serie A continues apace with an exciting weekend of action, Chloe is back with three selections for the upcoming matches in Italy's top flight.

  • Cremonese can't cut it

  • Atalanta to dismiss sorry Samp

  • Monza to face tough task in Turin

Roma to squeeze past Spezia

Cremonese v Inter
Saturday January 28, 17:00
Live on BT Sport 1

Cremonese are rock bottom in Serie A, taking just eight points from their first 19 matches and struggling to adapt to life in the top flight. Only Sampdoria (8) have scored fewer goals than their current tally of 14, while only Salernitana (37) have conceded more often than the 33 put past them so far.

Another unwanted record for Cremonese is that they have conceded the most goals in the opening 30 minutes of matches with 13, while their next opponents Inter have scored the most of any side in that same period with 13.

Armed with that knowledge, the tip here is to back Inter to lead at 30 minutes, a market that is currently available at odds of 2.56/4.

Atalanta looking lively again

Atalanta v Sampdoria
Saturday January 28, 19:45
Live on BT Sport 2

Atalanta are in impressive form right now, on a five-game unbeaten run in all competitions that has seen them out score their opponents by 15 goals to eight.

Their attack looks back to its very best, which could be bad news for Sampdoria, who have lost each of their last four meetings with the boys from Bergamo. Making matters worse is Samp's current form, losing seven of their last eight league games and failing to score in any of those defeats.

It is hard to see that changing here, so with all that in mind, the tip here is to back Atalanta to win and over 2.5 goals, a market which is available at odds of 1.9110/11.

Juve to exact revenge

Juventus v Monza
Sunday January 29, 14:00
Live on BT Sport 2

Despite having lost to the newly promoted side back in September, this match promises to represent a very different challenge to a Monza outfit who currently sit level on points with Juventus.

Of course, that is only due to the 15-point penalty imposed on the Bianconeri, who have improved dramatically since that loss to Sunday's opponents and Juve have since beaten Monza in the Coppa Italia.

Only Napoli (14) have conceded fewer goals than Max Allegri's men (15), who arrive at this fixture having won nine of their last 10 games. With all that in mind, the tip here is to back Juve to win to nil, a market available at 2.56/4.
