Football Bet of the Day: Gent to grab a goal in Germany

It was a great game in Brazil last night. Plucky Fortaleza took the lead against mighty Corinthians, before falling 2-1 behind, equalising, but eventually losing 3-2. BTTS landed before half-time and we move to Germany with a spring in our step.

Thursday night is Europa League night and our pick of today's games is Wolfsburg's match with Gent. A couple of weeks ago, the Germans went to Belgium and drew the reverse fixture 2-2. We fancy both teams can score again this evening.

Seven days ago, Gent went to Anderlecht and drew a Belgian First Division match 3-3. At the weekend, they won 3-1 at home to Standard Liege. In the Europa League, Gent have already played nine matches this season, stretching back to qualifiers in July. Both teams have scored in eight of those matches. The exception was a comfortable 3-0 home win for Gent over Cypriot outfit AEK Larnaca.

Both teams have also scored in all three of Wolfsburg's Europa League games this season. They start as odds-on favourites to win tonight's game but, having also conceded in 8/11 Bundesliga home games since early March, we fancy they won't have everything their own way.
