Football Bet of the Day: Defences to get schooled in Ireland

It was a siren call from Londrina in the end. Though last night's Brazilian Serie B game was predictably tight overall (it finished 1-1), hosts Vila Nova sunk our bet by going into half-time 1-0 up.

We're hoping to rehab in Ireland, where one of this evening's Airtricity First Division games pitches University College Dublin at home to Shelbourne.

Since Collie O'Neill started cracking the whip, the Students have delivered Over 2.5 Goals in two-thirds of their home games (34/51), including 7/9 this term. Eight of UCD's last 12 clashes with Shelbourne have also produced Over 2.5 Goals, including 5/6 at the UCD Bowl, and that's our bet for this one.

Owen Heary's Shelbourne have scored 10 times in their last three away games. League leaders UCD lost their last home match 1-5, but they too are in fine scoring form (18 in seven on home turf), so we're backing attack to dominate defence this evening.
