Rayo Vallecano v Athletic Bilbao
Wednesday 18:00
Viking won 3-1 at Aalesunds last night to land our goals bet. It was goalless at the break, before the visitors came alive. They've also breathed new life into the Norwegian 1 Division title race, with three teams now within two points of each other at the top.
After all of that excitement in Norway, we're spending today in Spain watching a rearranged La Liga match. Two of the league's three worst defences are going head to head in Vallecas and we fancy there will be a few goals.
No one's conceded more goals at home than Rayo Vallecano: they've leaked 13 in four appearances at the Campo de Futbol de Vallecas so far. However, the Red Sashes have scored themselves in all four of those games as they've finished 1-4, 1-5, 2-2 and 1-2.
Eduardo Berizzo has had a tough start as Athletic Bilbao coach, winning only one of his first eight league games in charge - and that was back on the opening day. The Basques have conceded in all eight matches, but have at least found the back of the net themselves in 7/8. Their three away matches have finished 2-2, 1-1 and 1-1. Going back to last season, Athletic have seen both teams score in each of their last seven away games. At 1.845/6 we're backing them to make it eight in a row this evening.
