Porto v Maritimo
Thursday 20:30 (Live on Betfair Live)
We told them it would all be for nada. But Rayo Vallecano insisted on making the journey from Madrid to Valencia last night. And, indeed, they came away with nothing. Levante 1 Rayo 0 means it's three wins out of three this week.
We're sticking around the Iberian peninsula for what we hope will be another close game this evening. Porto are 1.192/11 favourites to beat Maritimo in tonight's sole game from the Portuguese Liga. We're not going to take them on directly but - whisper it quietly - they might have to work hard for those three points.
In the last five seasons, Maritimo have successfully kept 8/10 clashes with Porto to Under 2.5 Goals, including 5/5 since 2014.
This term, the outfit from Madeira are running eighth, despite having the league's least potent attack (just eight goals in 13 games so far). At the other end, only the top two can boast of a better defence.
Porto, who are second, have conceded just five times across the first 13 rounds and should be confident of shutting out these impotent visitors. But, until they stuck four past struggling Feirense last time out, Nuno Santo's men had scored just twice themselves in four Liga appearances.
Half of their six games at the Estadio do Dragao have finished with Under 2.5 Goals and, with recent head-to-head history on its side, we like the very big price on that outcome tonight.
