Saturday's Melbourne derby should be worth the wait. John van't Schip's Melbourne City and Kevin Muscat's Victory have delivered Over 2.5 Goals in 12/16 A-League meetings since 2011, including 6/8 when City have been hosting.

This term, second-placed City haven't logged a clean sheet since the opening day, but have scored themselves in 9/10. Four of their five appearances at AAMI Park have brought Over 2.5 Goals in total. Since Van't Schip took charge it's 30/40 high scorers there, including a remarkable 16 of the most recent 18.

Third in the table, visiting Victory have delivered Over 2.5 Goals in each of their last three on the road. Despite Muscat's playing reputation as a fierce defender, he's seen Victory deliver at least three match goals in 27/44 away from home. That fraction, too, suggests the price on another entertaining derby fixture is too big.
