Football Bet of the Day: Field Mill to churn out goals

Grandpa did us proud in Brazil last night. Ceara went to Bahia and, after a goalless first 75 minutes, came up with a 2-1 win to land our odds-against BTTS bet. A good start to the week.

Our attention switches now to the less tropical surrounds of League Two. John Dempster's Mansfield are down in 17th, but won their last home game 6-1. We fancy the Stags can come into a few more goals as they host 18th-placed Salford City this evening.

Dempster's men are W2-D2-L3 at Field Mill this season. They've have scored in 4/7 and, in each match they have scored, they have scored at least twice. We fancy they can grab a goal or two tonight against a Salford defence that has conceded at least twice in 6/7 away games this season.

For a first campaign in the Football League, Graham Alexander's men are doing okay. On the road, they have won only once (W1-D3-L3) but have at least been scoring regularly. They've scored at least once in 5/6 and at least twice in 4/6. Tonight, in sum, there are two leaky defences on show.
