Malmo v GIF Sundsvall
Monday April 11, 18:00
The Red Bull fell flat for our Tobias yesterday, as Salzburg only beat Admira Wacker 1-0. While TG considers alternative fizzy drinks, we'll take up the reins for a week.
I've been listening to Swedish siren Zara Larsson a lot recently, so in her honour we'll pay a visit to the Allsvenskan. I'm sure she'll be delighted when she finds out. Malmo are facing GIF Sundsvall (that's a team, not a short video).
The season is only a few weeks old, but Malmo have been scoring plenty of goals. In five Svenska Cupen outings they have netted 14 times, and their two league games this season have been a 3-1 win over Norrkoping and a 3-2 defeat at Jonkopings Sodra.
Malmo are sharing the goals around, but one man in particular has hogged the limelight. Former Cardiff City forward Jo Inge Berget has found the net in each of his last three games, and the Norwegian already scored seven goals in all competitions.
Malmo have played seven games in league and cup, and five of them have featured at least four goals, including a 4-0 win over tonight's opponents in the cup just over a month ago.
Sundsvall are comparatively dull. They have played five games in league and cup, and only two of them have contained three goals or more, although one of those matches was the most recent.
Given Malmo's form in front of goal, and their recent 4-0 bashing of GIF Sundsvall, I expect goals tonight, but the question is how many. We could back Over 2.5 Goals at 1.75/7, or be more adventurous and go for Over 3.5 Goals at 2.89/5. It's a big jump for just one more goal, so let's go for the bigger price.
Recommended Bet
