Football Bet of the Day: Goals won't fly in Las Palmas

At the time of writing, yesterday's bet is still alive, as they've not started kicking yet in the Netherlands. Just before we hand over to Kev for his final shift of 2017, we're nipping across to the Canary Islands for one of this afternoon's games from La Liga.

Las Palmas versus Espanyol isn't the biggest game from Spain this weekend, and hopefully it won't be the best either. The fixture finished goalless last term and a similar final score would be just fine by us today.

Bottom-of-the-table Las Palmas have scored just six times in seven previous appearances at Gran Canaria Stadium. Four of those seven games ended with Under 2.5 Goals in total.

Almost two-thirds of fifth-bottom Espanyol's away games have finished the same way since Quique Flores took charge (17/26). This term, it's 5/7 low scorers, as the Parakeets have notched just three times across all of those games. We're not sure this one's going to hit the heights and are delighted to take a near-evens price about Under 2.5 Goals.
