Football Bet of the Day: Gamble on more goals for Gamba

When the names Alan, Patrick, Luiz and Antonio all appeared on the score-sheet for Flamengo last night, we started to celebrate.

As bad luck would have it, Alan Patrick is but one man and so is Luiz Antonio. So it was only Flamengo 2 Cruzeiro 0 in Brazil overnight, leaving us one short for our goals bet.

We're going somewhere where we couldn't possibly be confused by anything half-familiar. Kashima Antlers are fifth in Japan's top-tier J League, one place behind their guests Gamba Osaka.

So far this season, Kashima's 12 home outings have averaged more than three goals each (37 in total) with 9/12 going Over 2.5 Goals individually. We reckon Gamba can help them break through the Over 2.5 Goals barrier early on Saturday morning: not least because, since 2010, four head-to-heads in Kashima have delivered a total of 18 goals.

Kashima have scored at least twice in 6/7 on home turf but logged clean sheets in just 2/17 there.

Each of Gamba's last five road games have gone Over 2.5 Goals. They've conceded in all five, but scored at least twice themselves in 4/5.
