Football Bet of the Day: More misery for Malaga

Some Sunday success for Kev yesterday as Gent completed a 3-0 double over Lokeren to land his handicap bet with something to spare. As he leaves the Low Countries on a high, we're on our way to Spain, where we're hoping to inflict more pain.

The week before last, we made hay as Malaga served up a pair of 1-0 defeats to Espanyol and then Getafe. Today, we're looking for them - and us - to start the new week with a little bit more of the same.

Malaga have got a new man in charge for this one, but Jose Gonzalez faces some big problems. At the halfway point in the La Liga season, the Andalusians have lost 14/19, including 9/10 on the road. They've failed to score - and lost - each of their last four at home and away. Since the start of term, they've been shut out by 8/10 previous hosts and we think they'll struggle again at Ipurua tonight.

Jose Luis Mendilibar's Eibar have won 6/8 at home and away. Only top-eight sides Atletico Madrid and Getafe have stopped them. On home turf, they've won 4/5 and we fancy they can make that 5/6 hosting the league's worst travellers this evening.
