Football Bet of the Day: Monaco look too hot for Dijon

As we thought, the visitors got licked last night, but they didn't bite back. Lechia Gdansk 3 Gornik Leczna 0 wasn't the result they were looking for, and it wasn't the result we were looking for.

We're picking ourselves in France, where there's a full round of Ligue 1 games this midweek.

In the first campaign back in the top flight, Dijon have acquitted themselves OK. Olivier Dall'Oglio's men are sitting not-quite-comfortably in 14th. They've lost in each of the last two rounds, however, and look set to make it three defeats in a row this evening.

Second-placed Monaco have won their last three league games by a combined 13-0. They've struck 30 times in their last eight outings and, through the first 14 rounds of the campaign, scored 15 more goals than anyone else.

It's fair to say Leonardo Jardim's team are France's most devastating attacking force. Dijon's defence has been erratic recently: among a few clean sheets, they've conceded at least three times in 5/11 at home and away. We fancy today's going to be an off day for them.
