Football Bet of the Day: Botafogo and Atletico are go, go, go

Vasco da Gama 1 Atletico MG 1 in Rio last night. It doesn't do much for either side's chance of making next season's Copa Libertadores, but it does get us off the mark for the week.

It's also encouraging us to stick around Brazil for one more day. When last-placed Atletico GO hosted sixth-placed Botafogo RJ back in July, they held their more illustrious visitors to a 1-1 draw. Tonight, we think there's a generous price on both teams to score once more.

Botafogo have conceded 21 times in 17 games at Nilton Santos Stadium. Only three teams in the 20-club Serie A have conceded more. The Great Fire have failed to keep a clean sheet on any of their most recent five home appearances - four of which came against bottom-half outfits like Atletico GO.

With 17 goals from 17 away games, Atletico's scoring record also belies their overall league position. Since Joao Paulo Sanches took charge, the Dragon have scored in 8/10 on the road. They've even scored twice or more in half of those games and we fancy they can find a way through the Great Fire this evening.
